The TeePee is a school-based enterprise at Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton, Mississippi. It is operated by the DECA chapter, specifically Business and Marketing students. We opened in August 2010 and became Gold Certified in 2015
Mission Statement
The mission of the TeePee is to provide a realistic retail atmosphere allowing students in Marketing and Career Pathways Experience classes hands-on experience in basic entrepreneurship, as well as, to act as an ongoing fundraiser for the IAHS DECA chapters. |
What is DECA?
DECA is an international organization for high school students interested in marketing, management, finance, and hospitality. DECA's brand identifies a remarkable experience in the preparation of emerging leaders and entrepreneurs. |
Gold Certification Process
Earning a chapter or individual certification garners international recognition, provides credibility, validates curriculum efficacy and strengthens the relevancy of the SBE (school-based enterprise) as a valuable teaching tool. Participating in SBE certification is an effective way of preparing students for DECA competitive events and future higher learning and careers.. |
